Fee Digging at Bonanza

FEE TAILINGS DIGGING

• Our mine opens for fee digging each weekend (Friday through Sunday) from Memorial Day weekend (Friday, May 28) and closes after Labor Day weekend (closed from Tuesday September 6 until the 2023 season).  It is also open for fee digging the Monday of Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends.
• Our operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The fee is $70.00 per person/day. Children 12 and under are FREE with paid adult.
• We accept Checks and Cash at the mine. We accept Credit Cards at the Bonanza Opal Mine store near the campground; it is open from 7am to 8am on fee dig days and from about 4:45pm to 5:30pm after fee dig closes.
• Rock Club members (with proof) and groups of 5 or more receive a $10 discount and if a Bonanza host is available, can call ahead to arrange to dig on a weekday.
• Reservations are not required for the weekend fee dig.
